The SMIZE family
Newer car designs (with curtain airbags) make the traditional through-the-window camera setting impossible; the camera recording the driver dummy its airbag has to be installed inside the car. But also less specific applications ask for a camera with the shallowest deep to allow the camera to be installed as close as possible to the object of interest.
Features and benefits
- True stand alone and failsafe protection of image memory data by built-in, rechargeable battery
- Ultra shallow installation deep of only 68mm (without the lens). Connectors on the side
- AOS data interface with heavy-duty data- and I/O-connectors. Together with the included SMIZE Adapter, the SMIZE camera connect to any PC with a Firewire IEEE3194a interface, eliminating the need for a special "camera hub"
- Hubs available for multi-camera setups (also with optional Compact Flash extension slot for Flash memory cards). Hub features a Fast Ethernet data IF for a simple integration into existing camera networks
- Shock-proof up to 120G, suitable for on-board applications
