The AOS M-VIT Joins the DropCoal Experiment on the ISS
The AOS M-VIT high-speed camera has been selected to participate in the DropCoal experiment, a six-month study focused on understanding how droplets merge and mix in the microgravity environment of space. This achievement marks a significant milestone, as our camera successfully underwent rigorous testing and final adjustments with the support of our integrator, Romania In Space (RISE). After arriving in the ISS, installation in the experimental container (see video here) and functional tests the experiments started.
Now fully operational aboard the International Space Station (ISS), the M-VIT has recorded over 300 sequences, yielding remarkable findings. Once the data is released, AOS will share additional recordings from this groundbreaking experiment.
